02 Overview

Conveyor Controls and VFD Controllers

Control and variable-frequency-drive options for setting conveyor speed and integrating a conveyor into a line.

The published details below are grouped by model, drive, belt or accessory so a figure from one configuration is not presented as universal. Final dimensions and ratings are confirmed against the selected layout.

03 Available range

Models, configurations and components.

Published specifications are kept with the model, drive, belt or accessory they describe. Final ratings depend on the complete engineered configuration.

Controls Solutions

Simply put, the brains of the conveyor system

  • Speed
  • Foundational to conveyor controls are a series of photosensors that sense product movement on the conveyor and relays that information to the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). Through interpreting incoming information, the PLC computes the data to manage product movement, enabling the conveyor system to effectively integrate with other machinery on the line

Variable-frequency drive controller

the VFD is easy to set up and reconfigure to meet changing requirements in a production line. This VFD can also be configured to take i/o and includes 5 digital and 2 analog inputs, as well as 1 digital and 5 analog outputs for use as needed

  • Unlocking & Locking the VFD Controller
  • Circuit breaker current rating should be 200mA or above, and operating 0.1 sec or longer
  • The VFD carries an IP 20 rating, in addition, the metal enclosure around the VFD allows it to be touch-safe and provides field wiring strain relief
  • Can this VFD be used with European power (50Hz)
  • This VFD can be utilized for 100-120V single-phase 50Hz input power. Furthermore, motor parameters can be set to control 220V 50Hz motors
  • When the direction of the motor must be changed outside of the initial installation, use the parameter 00-01 and select either 0-forward or 1-reverse. Multifunction I/O can also be used to change direction remotely

01

Product

Size, weight, orientation and contact surface determine the carrying format.

02

Environment

Cleaning method, moisture, temperature and material exposure determine frame and belt selection.

03

Movement

Rate, indexing, incline, accumulation and transfers determine the drive and control arrangement.
