Accumulation
Accumulation solutions keep a line running efficiently, buffering product between stages so an upstream slowdown never stalls the whole process. When in-line accumulation conveyors don't offer enough space, Roarer's accumulation tables provide the extra capacity a line needs.

12Benefits of accumulation equipment
What the right buffer does for a line.
A properly sized accumulation system protects throughput without adding manual handling.
Maximizes line uptime by keeping the constraint running
Reduces product and label damage with zero-backpressure handling
Minimizes maintenance costs
Shrinks equipment footprint
Supports sustainability goals with lower energy use
Reduces line noise
13Types of accumulation
Four ways to buffer a line.
The right approach depends on the product, the throughput required and the space available.

Small parts accumulation
Custom small-parts accumulation and recirculating tables are designed for lightweight, low-friction accumulation, ideal for recirculating small assembly parts in industrial manufacturing applications.
- Recirculating tables
- Product singulation
- Manual redirect to outfeed
- Custom sizing per application

Large capacity accumulation
For unstable or delicate product, large-capacity accumulation tables are designed for minimal contact and zero-pressure accumulation and buffering, supporting multi-laning, buffering or unscrambling smoothly even at high speed.
- Zero-pressure buffering
- Single-file & lane-divide functions
- Minimal friction and noise
- Easy-to-clean surfaces

Pharmaceutical vial & bottle accumulation
Accumulation and rotary tables designed for the pharmaceutical industry deliver high throughput while maintaining efficiency, safety, and easy cleaning and maintenance, for product such as vials that are prone to instability and damage on typical conveyors.
- High-speed, zero-pressure accumulation
- First-in, first-out flow
- Lower motor count
- On-demand flow divide

Vertical accumulation
A space-saving option that maintains product order in and out, compact helix conveyors provide accumulation and buffering with a small footprint, with reduced corner friction for faster speeds and smooth handling.
- Accumulation & buffering
- Cooling product
- Custom infeed / outfeed length
- Any height or angle
14Why accumulation matters
Built to protect the product and the line.
Four principles behind an accumulation system that actually earns its floor space.
Pressureless accumulation
Backpressure causes damage and collisions between products. Pressureless accumulation loops keep product moving without the products pushing against one another.
Reduced nesting at pickoff
When every lane runs at the same speed, products nest together and must be de-nested at the pickoff point. A slowdown lane that de-nests product before pickoff reduces turbulence and supports higher overall line speeds.
Designed for strict standards
Reduced areas where foreign material can collect, minimized metal-to-metal contact to limit entrapment risk, and easy-to-clean surfaces suited to food-grade and pharmaceutical requirements.
Expert line analysis
A Roarer specialist evaluates the line to identify the accumulation approach that fits the product, throughput and available space, as part of the project proposal.
